At Sir John Leman High School we strive to provide the very best in education and we are proud of what we have achieved together in recent years, with our focus being on four key areas: achievement, ethos and values, opportunities and relationships. Our students are happy, ambitious, resilient and successful; they thrive in a friendly, purposeful environment characterised by high expectations and exemplary standards of behaviour.
Working together as a learning community, we value every student as an individual, developing confidence and self-esteem and inspiring our students to achieve in all areas of school life. We have an excellent reputation for challenging our most able students and for supporting those who require additional help with their studies along with a clear programme of support through each of the key ‘points of transition’.
Our academic achievement is the result of high quality teaching, excellent relationships, shared aspirations and an ethos of co-operation and respect; ensuring our students develop awareness and understanding of British values and of the diversity of national, regional, religious and ethnic identities within the United Kingdom. In our rural location in particular, partnerships are a key part of our on-going success.
As well as being a popular school with parents, we are proud to be the highest-performing school in the Waveney area, as well as being recognised for being in the fastest-improving 3% of schools in the country.
